EartH Studios Crowdfunder 2018
Role: Campaign Manager for EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney), Jul-Oct 2018
EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney) is a new multi-arts space in East London that opened in September 2018 with diverse programmes featuring artists such as Neil Gaiman, Janelle Monáe and Mulatu Astatke
Shortly before opening, EartH launched a five-week crowdfunder campaign to raise funds to transform their basement into EartH Studios – a music education centre for young people run in partnership with leading London charity Community Music. EartH Studios will offer free and low cost music training and education programmes to young people in the community, particularly targeting those who are socially excluded.
|
The campaign successfully raised £31,785 with 239 supporters in 37 days. Of those funds £26,000 is being spent on renovating the basement space (currently in progress). The remainder will go towards purchasing studio equipment.
